Who We Are
RetroRoam is a trading name of Chatitecture Ltd, a company registered in Northern Ireland (company number NI729722), registered office Belfast, Northern Ireland. We are the data controller for the information described here. For any question or request, use our contact form.
Your Data
Privacy by design is at the heart of RetroRoam. Here’s everything we hold:
- Your original photo is not stored — it is used to create your poster, then discarded.
- Creating your poster uses Google’s AI image service, which may process your photo outside the UK and EEA under standard data-protection safeguards. Your photo is not used to train Google’s models. See Google’s Gemini API terms for details.
- Your finished poster is stored securely with our cloud provider so we can fulfil your order. Unpurchased drafts are deleted after 30 days, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
- We keep basic order details and non-identifying signals about how posters are made to run and improve the service. We don’t require accounts, store passwords, or build profiles, and we use no third-party analytics or advertising tracking.
- If you join our waitlist, we use your email only to tell you when we launch — no other marketing unless you ask, and you can opt out at any time.
We use this data to fulfil your order, to run and protect the service, and — for the waitlist — with your consent. We keep it no longer than we need to, you can ask us to delete it at any time, and we never sell it.
Orders & Payments
Payments are handled securely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. To fulfil your order, we share your finished poster and your shipping name and address with our print partner, who prints and ships it, and we send order and delivery updates by email (a copy also reaches our own inbox so we can help if something goes wrong). We don’t share your data with anyone else, and never for advertising.
Cookies
We set a single visitor-ID cookie that stores a random, signed ID for up to 12 months. With your IP address, it lets us limit how many posters can be made from one device in a short window — preventing abuse and keeping the service available. We do not use it to track you across other sites. We use no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics cookies, so there is no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.
Your Rights
You can ask us to:
- Access — give you a copy of the data we hold about you
- Erasure — delete your data
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Portability — provide your data in a portable form
- Object — stop certain uses of your data
To exercise any of these, use our contact form and we will help. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you are in the EU, your local data protection authority. We may update this policy from time to time; any changes are posted here with a new date.
