Who We Are

RetroRoam is a trading name of Chatitecture Ltd, a company registered in Northern Ireland (company number NI729722), registered office Belfast, Northern Ireland. We are the data controller for the information described here. For any question or request, use our contact form.

The Short Version

  • Your photo is not stored and not used to train AI.
  • No accounts, no advertising tracking, and we never sell your data.
  • You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

What We Keep

  • Your photo: not kept. It is used to make your poster, then discarded.
  • Your posters: kept for 30 days so you can come back to them, then deleted. Posters you order are kept with your order.
  • A record of each poster you make: its title, a short AI description of your photo, and your answers to our studio questions. Kept to run and improve the service.
  • Your email, if you ask for a link to your posters: used to send the link and one reminder before your posters are deleted. Deleted when they are, or straight away if you unsubscribe. Anyone you forward the link to can see your posters as watermarked previews.
  • News and offers: only if you tick the box. We keep your email for up to a year after you last use your link, and you can stop them at any time.
  • Your order: your name, address, email and what you bought, kept for our accounts and to help with your order. We never see your card details.
  • Messages you send us (contact form, reviews, waitlists): used to reply, or to tell you when something you asked about is ready. A review is only published on the site if you agree.
  • How the site is used: we count page views and taps with PostHog, hosted in the EU. It sets no cookies. It notes your approximate town from your IP address, and may record how a page was used (taps and scrolling) to help us fix problems.

We use your data to fulfil your order, to run, protect and improve the service, and, for news and offers, only with your consent.

Who We Share It With

Only the companies that help us run RetroRoam:

  • Google: turns your photo into a poster.
  • Amazon Web Services: hosts the site and stores your posters.
  • Stripe: takes your payment.
  • Prodigi: prints and delivers your order (your name, address and email).
  • Replicate: enlarges your poster to print size when you order.
  • Resend: sends our emails.
  • PostHog: site analytics.

Some are based outside the UK; where they are, your data is protected by standard data-protection safeguards. We never share your data for advertising.

Cookies

We set one cookie: a random visitor ID, kept for up to 30 days. It limits how many posters one device can make, and connects your devices to your poster link, or to the browser you opened us in from Facebook or Instagram. We set no other cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

Your Rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or take a copy of your data, or object to how we use it. Use our contact form and we will help. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or, in the EU, your local data protection authority. Changes to this policy are posted here with a new date.
