Help & FAQ

Need a hand?

The questions we hear most often. If yours isn’t here, get in touch and we read everything ourselves.

Before you order

What size is the print?

Unframed prints come in three sizes: 30×40 cm, 45×60 cm and 50×70 cm (12×16, 18×24 and 20×28 in). Framed prints come in the same three, with the print filling the frame edge to edge. Mounted frames come in two: a 30×40 cm print in a 40×50 cm frame, and a 35×50 cm print in a 45×60 cm frame. The mount takes 2 inches off each side, which is why the print inside a mounted frame is one size smaller than the frame itself. You choose your size and finish after you generate your poster.

Why is my size in centimetres and not inches?

Every order is made at the print lab nearest you, and the labs work in the units their local customers buy frames in: the UK and European labs in centimetres, the US lab in inches. So we quote the size you will actually receive rather than a conversion of it. The two differ by only a few millimetres, and it means a print made near you fits the frames sold near you.

Will my print fit a standard frame?

Our prints are sized to standard dimensions that fit off-the-shelf frames from most home retailers such as IKEA and Dunelm. If you’d rather skip the frame shopping, order it framed and ready to hang instead.

Can I see a preview before I pay?

Yes, generating a poster is completely free. Upload your photo in the studio and you’ll get three moods to choose from. Take as long as you like, regenerate as many times as you want. You only pay when you decide to order a print.

What kind of photos work best for poster designs?

Our style is inspired by vintage travel posters: bold, flat colour fields, simplified geometry, and a clean graphic look. To get the best results:
  • Works best: Wide-angle landscapes, coastal views, symmetric architecture, city streets, and photos with clear horizons or distinct shapes.
  • Best avoided: Close-up portraits, selfies, low-light/grainy shots, and extremely busy scenes with tiny details.
Every order is professionally upscaled for print, so what you see in the studio preview is faithfully reproduced at full poster resolution.

Can I upload photos directly from Instagram or Facebook?

Yes. However, if the photo picker doesn’t open or fails to load, your phone may be blocking the in-app browser’s photo access. You can resolve this by enabling photo access in your phone settings (Settings → Instagram → Photos → Allow), or by tapping the three dots (⋯) at the top-right of your screen and choosing“Open in external browser” to use Safari or Chrome.

Can I order multiple prints at once?

Yes. You can add multiple posters of different places or moods to your cart and check out in a single order. If you order two or more unframed prints, we’ll automatically apply a 10% multi-print discount at checkout. Each print is made to order, so posters may ship separately if produced at different labs.

Your print

What paper and print quality do you use?

All prints are giclée-printed on 200gsm enhanced matte art paper with archival pigment inks, the process galleries use for long-lasting reproductions. Every order is professionally upscaled before printing, so what you see in the preview is reproduced faithfully at full poster resolution. Framed prints come ready to hang in a classic frame with a perspex glaze, and an optional mount.

How long will my print last?

Kept out of direct sunlight, prints made with this combination of giclée process, pigment inks and fine art paper are expected to last between 100 and 200 years without noticeable fading. Longevity does depend on how a print is displayed and stored. Anything hung in direct sun will fade over time, however it was made.

Why does the place name occasionally have a letter wrong?

Each poster is created by our custom AI pipeline, and very occasionally a letter in the place name gets mis-rendered. Always double-check the title before you order, and regenerate if anything looks off, and please don’t pay for a print you’re not sure about. If in doubt, regenerate. It’s free. Because each print is made to order from the design you approved, we’re unable to reprint for text that appeared correctly in your preview.

Delivery

How long will my order take to arrive?

UK orders typically arrive in 5–7 working days. International orders (US and Eurozone) usually take 7–14 working days, depending on destination. Each print is made to order (we don’t hold stock), so there’s a short production window before dispatch.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to the United Kingdom, the United States and the 21 EU countries that use the euro: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. Shipping is free to every destination on every product. Prints arrive rolled in tissue paper, protected inside a rigid cardboard tube or box. Framed orders travel with guards on every corner and a board over the face of the print, inside a heavy-duty box.

How do I track my order?

You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link once your order is dispatched. You can also visit our order tracking page and enter your order reference (the 12-character code from your confirmation email) and email address.

If something goes wrong

What if my print arrives damaged or wrong?

Tell us as soon as you’ve opened it: ideally within 48 hours, and within 14 days of delivery at the latest. Send your order reference and photos of three things:
  • the print itself, showing the damage
  • the tube or box it arrived in, including any crushing or tears
  • the shipping label
The packaging photo is the one couriers need to settle a claim, and it’s the first thing most people throw away, so it’s worth photographing before you bin anything. We’ll send a free replacement, and where a replacement isn’t possible we’ll refund you. We won’t ask you to post anything back; if we need the original, we’ll arrange collection. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights. Get in touch.

What if my order doesn't arrive?

First, check the tracking link in your shipping confirmation. Couriers occasionally take a day or two longer than the estimate, and parcels sometimes sit at a local sorting office. Get in touch with your order reference once your order is more than 5 working days past the delivery estimate for your destination, or if tracking hasn’t updated for 5 working days. We’ll chase the courier, and if it’s confirmed lost we’ll send a free replacement straight away, with no need to wait for the original to turn up. Please report a missing order within 30 days of dispatch, so we can investigate while the courier’s trail is still warm. Do double-check your delivery address when ordering. If a parcel comes back because the address was wrong, a re-send may cost extra.

Can I return my print if I don't love it?

Because each print is made specifically for the place and mood you chose, we can’t offer refunds for a change of mind: personalised orders are exempt from the usual 14-day cooling-off right. Faulty prints are a different matter: if yours arrives damaged, misprinted or defective, we’ll replace it free. See “What if my print arrives damaged or wrong?” for what to send us. If you’d like to try a different mood or a different place, get in touch and we’re happy to help. We often have a discount we can offer on a second design.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Contact us as soon as you can using our contact form. Every order waits for us to review it before it goes to the printer, so if you catch us in time we can cancel or amend it and refund you in full. Once it’s been sent for printing we can’t recall it, because each print is made to order. See our Terms of Service for the full policy.

Your photo and your rights

What happens to the photo I upload?

Your original photo is sent to our AI illustration service to generate your poster, then discarded. We don’t store your original photo. The generated poster is stored securely in our cloud to fulfil your order. We run automated, industry-standard safety screening to prevent the processing of restricted or harmful content. We never sell your images, and we only share your finished poster with the partners needed to enhance, print and ship it. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Can I use the poster commercially?

Posters are sold for personal display only. Buying a print doesn’t include commercial-use or merchandise rights. If you’re thinking about something commercial (a café wall, a product range, an event), get in touch and we’ll talk it through.
